Mike joined TRIUMPH in 2003 and served as the APS-Clemmons site General Manager, stabilizing and then steadily improving the site’s operational efficiency, supply chain performance and profitability. Prior to his GM role as Engineering Director, Mike led a team of 40 engineers responsible for new product design, test, and support. The Clemmons site gained solid footing under his leadership as a respected hydraulic pump provider and continued to gain market share in the valve and cowl actuation product spaces.
Mike began his career as a fuel systems project engineer at AlliedSignal/Honeywell and later joined Honda Aircraft Company as a Lead Systems Engineer responsible for the design, installation, and certification of the HA-420 “HondaJet” hydraulic system.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and his Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering from NC State University; he also owns a private pilot certificate. During his tenure at Honda, Mike attained his FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) certificate.
